Yuichi Masubuchi got his PhD from Nagoya Univ. in 1996 under direction of Prof. Masao Doi on DNA dynamics. After his PhD he worked in Yamagata Univ. as research associate with Prof. Kiyohito Koyama on polymer rheology until 2001. During his Yamagata period, in 1999 he stayed in Univ. Naples as guest researcher to work with Prof. Giuseppe Marrucci on modelling of rheology. He was promoted to associate professor in Tokyo Univ. Agriculture & Tech. in 2004. From 2007 to 2015, he worked with Prof. Hiroshi Watanabe in Kyoto University on polymer rheology. In 2012 he was invited to Tech. Univ. Darmstadt to collaborate with Prof. Florian Muller-Plathe on coarse-grained modeling of entangled polymer dynamics. In 2015, he has moved to Nagoya University and drives his own laboratory on polymer dynamics and rheology.
